In just two years, Stonehaven has reached 1000+ audience members and 200+ artists-in-training through our partnerships and programs. In 2026, thanks to a grant from the Dramatists Guild Foundation we are excited to multiply our impact through The Stonehaven Series:
From January-June through 2028, we plan to produce accessible, monthly staged readings celebrating the legacies of intersectional playwrights. Our first season will enrapture a historiography of theatre by playwrights of color, starting at the near future, and dating back to 1830. Our second season in 2027 will bring us from the past to the present, and in 2028 we will uplift democracy-centered plays for the election cycle.
The Willie Agee Playhouse has made it possible for Stonehaven to permanently house its programming in Inglewood, ranging from Wellness Workshops to our annual Afrofuturist Art Fair on June 20, 2026.
Our collective partnership with Melanin Mixology Bar will kick off with a special premiere of Cris Eli Blak’s newest play, “Sing For Me” on Jan 26. Complimentary beverages, including themed mocktails, will be served.
In order to keep our artists equitably paid and our voices heard, we need your support. Our goal is to raise 10,000 annually to produce each season. Every cent counts, and if you cannot give directly at them time, sharing and spreading the word means the world to our community.
