Our Founders

Bairton Brown, Founder & Executive Director

Bairton Brown (he/they) is a multiracial artist and educator based in Burbank, CA.. Bair is an alumnus of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where they earned an MA in Arts and Public Policy. Bair also holds a BFA in Directing from The Theatre School at DePaul University, with minors in TV Producing and Comedic Screenwriting.

At DePaul, Bair directed the comedy series ‘Naomi and Levi Take On The World,’ streaming on OTV since 2021. While at NYU, Bair directed the sold-out premiere of “HOW DARE YOU” at Affirmation Theatre in NYC. That year, Bair’s short film “THICKER THAN OIL” also won best production design at the Paper Crowns Film Fest.

In 2023, as a Next-Up Playwriting Fellow at Congo Square Theatre Company, Bair wrote and directed “THE PLAY GROUNDS (MEMENTO VIVERE)” a black comedy focused on suicide prevention, for the Denver and Hollywood Fringe Festivals in addition to the staged reading at Congo Square Theatre in Chicago.

In 2024, Bair’s first novel, BLACKTOPIA: PART ONE was published by Syllble Studios through Amazon Books. Bair directed the audio series adaptation, which is now streaming on Stonehaven Studios’ YouTube account. This year Bair directed Season 5, Episode 5 , “THE REAL FOLX PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE” for the comedy web series “BLACKSiDE” on YouTube. It has become the highest viewed episode of the series to date.

In addition to serving as a Company Member at Interact Theatre Company, Bair currently serves as the Community Engagement and Education/Programs Associate for Congo Square Theatre. Bair carries forward the vision of Congo Square’s founders through leading the Congo Industry Training Institute and Internship Program. As the Executive Director of Stonehaven, Bair is dedicated to enriching the lives of emerging artists and ensuring that our legacy of transformative storytelling endures for generations to come.

Jane Warburton-Brown,

Founder & Artistic Director

Jane Warburton-Brown (she/her) is a retired Registered Nurse (R.N.) with over twenty-five years of experience across the U.S. healthcare industry, serving over 150,000 patients throughout the course of her career.

As a charge nurse at various hospitals, Jane has witnessed the holistic power of art-making at the beside.

She has served as a collaborator for the University of Michigan’s unqique ‘Arts At The Bedside’ programming.

Jane has also curated programming and led training on health and safety issues such as patient fall prevention.

Witnessing the transformational power of the arts in herself and others, she studied the intersections of art and healthcare. Through her work, she has helped raise awareness about the medical benefits of daily art-making.

As the Founding Artistic Director for Stonehaven Studios, Jane has nurtured a humanitarian vision to foster the delicate intersection of art, holistic wellness, and accessibility. Her personal mission to heal society on physical, psychological, and spiritual levels is being expanded through her post-retirement work as an educator.

In Summer 2024, Jane began teaching quarterly “Fall Prevention” Workshops at Burbank Senior Artists Colony.

In Fall 2024, Jane successfully launched her monthly “Therapeutic Art Practice” (T.A.P.) Workshop Series.

Jane is currently focused on initiating more partnerships with host organizations, identifying fiscal sponsors, and expanding to various locations across Los Angeles County. After researching the benefits of Zentangles® and Neurogenic Art Practices,® Jane is currently earning further credentials in Art Therapy and Mediative Art..

Robert Brown,

Managing Director

Robert Brown (he/him) is a Civil Rights Era Social Worker hailing from the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. Robert is a fully-disabled United States Marine Corps Veteran, and the former Street Commissioner of Elkhart, Indiana.

As the Managing Director of Stonehaven Studios, he helps maintain our administrative operations in Burbank.

Cierrah Pamilton

Associate Artistic Director

Cierrah Pamilton (she/her) is a Writer and Producer from Long Beach, California. She is a graduate of Renaissance High School, where she attended the theatre program.

She has worked with various organizations across Los Angeles County, including but not limited to Interact Theatre Company, Los Angeles City College, The Mark Theatre, Outside In Theatre, Skylight Theatre, The Roots and Wings Project, as well as Syllble Studios.

Kyle Hinton,

Writer and Producer

Kyle Hinton (he/him) is a Black nonbinary screenwriter from the suburbs of Chicago, who aspires to contribute imaginative and intersectional stories to the television landscape through sci-fi, horror, and comedy genres. After graduating from DePaul University with a degree in Film & TV Production. Kyle has worked on shows like Power Book IV: Force and the iCarly reboot for Paramount Plus. 

Bair and Kyle first met at DePaul University’s cinema school, where Bair directed Kyle’s comedy web series Naomi & Levi Take On The World. The series was selected for distribution by OTV, and is now streaming

Kyle's horror-comedy pilot The Vampire Prince won WeScreenplay’s 2022 Diverse Voices lab, and it’s short film adaptation “EAT” won an OTV Atlast Grant. Kyle recently wrote BLACKTOPIA Book II, published by Syllble Studios. As a collaborative writer and producer, Kyle likes to tackle dark, social, and interpersonal issues with heart and levity because we are over the trauma.

Keimon Shook,

Writer and Performer

Keimon Shook (he/him) is a Queer, Black and Asian Actor-Writer-Director from Jacksonville Florida.

In 2021 Keimon graduated from The Theatre School at DePaul University with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. He and Bair first collaborated in 2019, when they won the 2019-2020 Courier 12 Screenwriting Conference Competition with their animated, sci-fi adventure series PLANETZ (link below): https://planetz2020.weebly.com

The following Spring, Bairton story edited and co-directed a short film written by Keimon: From Your Former Lover. FYFL went on to win at the New York Independent Cinema Awards, as well as other film festivals in 2020.

Shortly after, Keimon starred in Naomi and Levi Take On The World, a comedy web series written by Kyle Hinton and directed by Bairton Brown. That series was selected for distribution by OTV (Open Television), which premiered later that year.

Since then, Keimon and Bair have gone on to co-produce several award-winning films and stage plays, including but no limited to Thicker Than Oil (2022 - Paper Crowns Fall Film Fest), The Play Grounds (2023 - Congo Square SGR Next-Up Playwriting Fellowship), BLACKTOPIA, and more. He will be the author of BLACKTOPIA, Book III, releasing on June 7, 2026.
